There has been a wave of new and different parties in the New Western Empire as of recently some of these parties have even become official parties such as the Nationalist Union and Labour Party both came up within the past couple of months and have already been recognized as official parties in the New Western Empire.
Now what started this massive influx in Parties, I believe it was the latest election that started this trend only one of these minor parties actually ran in these elections and it was the Republican-Right Party, though the party was eliminated swiftly in the first round of elections after this a massive influx in parties came such as the Whig party and the Turtle party both of which never came to much success. Though as time went on more and more parties came many disappeared but some stuck these parties were the Nationalist Union a Party that is neither left or right but is a Centrist Party that does not believe in communist or capitalist Ideologies, then you have the Republican-Right Party which as you can guess was a right wing party that believed in promoting conservative values across the New Western Empire and was trying to fill the gap left by the Conservative Union, then finally you have the Labour Party which was a democratic socialist party believing in free speech and a voice for all of its members.
The Labour party falls in between the Green Left Party and the Citizens party. The real question is what is going to happen in the next election. By the way it’s looking for the Republican-Right Party there isn’t going to be a next election considering the Turmoil that it’s leader got himself into (me) but what about the other parties. Well it looks likely that the 11 senate seats that are up for grabs are going to be very divided between each of the four parties but I believe that the Citizens Party will continue to hold a majority in seats in the senate with the green left coming in second and the Nationalist Union coming in third while the Labour Party gets at least one seat in fourth.
Though elections can sometimes be unpredictable, take the 2016 U.S election with many polls pointing that Hillary Clinton would win but that was not the case. The small parties that keep rising up is a sign that people want a change instead of the established parties and perhaps it is a sign to these larger parties that people do not want to join a large party and would rather let their voices be heard than be ignored. The real question is what’s next to come from these parties will they continue to gain members or will they collapse before or after the next election *coughs Republican-Right Party*.
